Dr. Huagui Li, MD, PhD, FACC
Dr. Huagui Li is a highly experienced cardiac electrophysiologist dedicated to providing expert heart care. His clinical expertise includes the treatment of arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, and other complex cardiac electrophysiological conditions. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Li is deeply involved in research, having authored and co-authored numerous publications in the field of cardiology.
Dr. Li earned his medical degree from Sichuan Medical College in 1982 and completed his training in internal medicine and cardiology at West China University of Medical Sciences from 1983 to 1988. He pursued his PhD in cardiovascular physiology at the University of Western Ontario, graduating in 1991, and subsequently completed a clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship.
Dr. Li began his academic career as an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin in 1994. He later served as an associate professor at the University of Nebraska and Creighton University. Currently, he is the Director of Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology with the University of Minnesota Physicians Community Division, where he continues to advance patient care and academic excellence.
Currently, Dr. Li is CNAHA Lifetime Member and President from 2024-2026.
