Words from Our New President, Dr. Xiushi Suzy Liu
Dear CNAHA members and friends,
I am very gracious for your trust and support to pass the baton to Li and me as the next presidents of CNAHA.
We are self-selected individuals who gravitate to CNAHA because of our shared background, culture, passion, mission and dream.
Our roots are the same; we are Chinese descendant despite of a passport with blue cover.
We are privileged and special because we have the opportunity of sampling Chinese and American medical education. The bumpy road to American dream also made us the beneficiary of American residency and fellowship training. We can’t wait to share this experience and potential expertise with our partners and friends in China.
At the transition time, I would like to first solute Dr. Jie Cheng (程老师) who is one of the crucial pillars for our community. Thanks for his wonderful contributions and congratulations for his election to our new board as VP.
Sister Li and I would like welcome and congratulate the new board members. In the meantime, we foremost want to thank those members who don’t hold titles but are indispensable part of the community. THANK YOU!
In my personal statement for election, I said I don’t plan to lead as the left main artery nor the sinus node, instead I wanna be that desmosome who adheres to every one together.
We convene as a team who will send out the strongest heart beat and present the most vigorous performance.
