Chinese American Heart Association (CNAHA) Annual Meeting 2020: Seeking Our Path, Imagining Our Future

Agenda:
- Welcome and introduction from co-presidents Li Chen and Zijian Xu: meeting addenda and format. 10 minutes.
- Self-introduction from member and other attendees (30 seconds per person; fixed format: name, specialty, work affiliation, geographic location, and membership status).
- Overview of the current state of CNAHA (Xu/Chen): 5 minutes each, a total of 10 minutes.
- History of CNAHA (Drs. Jiang and Fan): a total of 15 min
- Speed networking/breakout discussions: (15 min per round x 2 rounds)
Breakout Round 1: Seeking our path (professional growth).
Suggested topics:
• Share experience in career path: academic versus private practice; university versus industry; pros and cons.
• How to grow professionally and advocate for yourself?
• Leadership development: opportunities and challenges.
• Is there a glass ceiling? How to break it?
• How do I get involved in national professional societies?
